Ho iniziato l’attività di designer a cavallo degli anni ‘90 disegnando principalmente sedie per le aziende del “Triangolo della Sedia” e subito dopo col disegnare packaging alimentari. Alcuni manager del settore mi dissero che avevo molto talento nel disegnare bottiglie in PET per acque minerali; fra gli anni 1995 e 1998 ricevetti parecchi premi e riconoscimenti in questo settore, riscuotendo successi in tutta Europa. Avevo ricevuto i premi non solo per l’affascinante aspetto estetico dei packaging progettati ma anche per le inedite performance tecniche. Agli inizi del nuovo secolo ripresi a disegnare sedie, poltroncine e sgabelli ed anche complementi d’arredo. L’obiettivo è quello di disegnare il perfetto equilibrio tra l’aspetto formale e il giusto mix di innovazione tecnologica.
I started my work as a designer in the years ‘90s drawing mainly chairs for companies of the “Chair Triangle” and soon after I started designing food packaging. Some managers told me that I had a lot of talent in designing PET bottles for mineral water. Between the years 1995 and 1998 I received many prizes and awards in this area, I obtained success all over Europe. I had received the awards not only for the charming appearance of the packaging design but also for the particular and innovative technical performances. At the beginning of the new century I restarted to designing chairs, armchairs and stools and also furnishings. The goal is to draw the perfect balance between the formal aspect and the right mix of technological innovation.

Trovare un quadrifoglio in un prato è come trovare un ago in un pagliaio. E’ possibile solo se ci mettiamo in sintonia con la natura; cioè ci dobbiamo abbassare – o elevare – allo stesso livello della natura ed essa ci guiderà verso il quadrifoglio. È una questione di attrazione, di vibrazioni, di “idrogeno” come ha scritto G.J. Gurdjieff.
Finding a four-leaf clover in a lawn is like finding a needle in a haystack. It is only possible if we tune in with nature. In other words, we ourselves to the same level as nature, and it will guide us to the four-leaf clover. It is a question of attraction, of vibration, of “hydrogen” as wrote G.J. Gurdjieff.

Packaging
Nel 1995 il Responsabile dell’ Acqua Vera mi disse che la bottiglia disegnata sarebbe diventata, nel giro di breve tempo, la madre di tutte le bottiglie che avremmo visto nei circuiti commerciali. Ed ha avuto ragione!”
In 1995 the Research and Development of Acqua Vera told me that the bottle they designed would become, in a short time, the mother of all bottles seen in business circles. And he was right!
Servìli, servìti
“Servìli, servìti
Le conseguenze della mancanza di consapevolezza, una delle più alte forme d’ignoranza, l’ignoranza di sé stessi, porta alla prevaricazione arrogante verso l’altro, il diverso, temuto, odiato, avversato.
Il figlio storpio della prepotenza è il servilismo; attivo, attivo fino allo sfinimento, al sacrificio estremo di sé e della propria dignità, alla maniera stoica dei falsi eroi rinuncianti alla propria vita per gli interessi altrui.
L’unico rimedio efficace e non violento alla sopraffazione, risulta il servire per educare alla tolleranza e all’umanità, senza prestare il fianco al male.
In questo servizio fotografico ho voluto rappresentare queste due condizioni antinomiche; servente è l’uomo consapevole e complemento necessario di una poltrona, che rende comoda la seduta ad una giovane donna di colore.
È invece servile la stessa donna resa supina all’arroganza mentre, in un’annichilente posa innaturale da telaio, sostiene la scocca di una sedia, per giunta vuota.
Valutando le differenze tra i termini servìli e servìti non solo per una consonante, ma per la posizione dell’accento, sérvili risulta quindi il massimo comandamento cristiano, e sérviti il combattimento disarmante contro la prevaricazione e la superbia arrogante.
Se le trame della vita sono scocche formate in maniera indissolubile di sedute e schienali, di bene e male saldati insieme per servire, in alcuni casi in maniera servile, ecco datoci il compito di scegliere sia gli accenti giusti che le consonanti migliori, per non risultare né arroganti né tantomeno servili.”

“ Servile-servants”
The consequences of the lack of consciousness, one of the highest forms of ignorance, the ignorance of oneself, causes an arrogant abuse of power towards the other, the different, the feared, the hated and the adversary.
The deformed son of power is servileness; active, active till exhaustion, till the ultimate sacrifice of oneself and one’s own dignity, in the stoic tradition of false heroes, who renounce their own lives in the interest of others.
The only efficacious and non violent remedy to abuse of power, is as a matter of fact to serve in order to educate towards being tolerant and human, for servility is to serve to educate in tolerance and a sense of humanity without being vulnerable to evil. In this photographic service I have chosen to represent these two opposite conditions; the conscious man is servant and a necessary element of being in charge, which makes the meeting with a young coloured girl comfortable. On the other hand, the same girl would be servile if she is submitted to the arrogance, and this can be represented by her holding the structure of an empty chair in a self-annihilating unnatural artificial pose. Considering the difference between servile servants and the serving powerful: the latter case is the highest Christian Commandment, which is the disarming fight against the abuse of power and arrogance. If the plots of life are the structure indissolubly formed by the backrest and the seat, of good and evil fused together in order to serve, sometimes in a servile way, here we have an idea of how to fulfill the task to serve in a positive way, without resulting in being either arrogant or servile.
